Statistics

Iván Díaz is Associate Professor at the Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

His research focuses on the development of non-parametric methods for causal inference from observational and randomized studies, missing data, survival analysis, and longitudinal studies. He uses causal modelling together with semi-parametric estimation theory and machine learning to solve methodological problems in health research.

Iván Díaz is a Visiting Fellow in July 2025 at the invitation of Prof. Dr. Michael Schomaker (LMU) as part of the CAS Research Focus Medical Data Processing.

On 9 July 2025 he will give a lecture on “Causal Inference with Complex Longitudinal Observational Medical Databases”.
